Busting Myths about the MSVIA
The Medical Society of Virginia Insurance Agency (MSVIA) is here to support a unique array of clients and situations!
Myth: MSVIA only handles Professional Liability.
Fact: Half of our policies are for coverage other than malpractice.
We have offered coverage for Property, General Liability, Cyber, Workers Comp, Employment Practices Liability, Billing Errors, and more since the agency’s inception 25 years ago.
Myth: You must be a Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) member to qualify for coverage through MSVIA.
Fact: We hear this one a lot, but it’s not true at all.
About half of our customers are not MSV members. Members and non-members receive the same high level of attention and customer service.
Myth: My situation is unusual; MSVIA probably can’t help me.
Fact: We have seen it all, and we like a good challenge.
While many of our clients are independent physician practices, our clients represent a whole spectrum of healthcare-related businesses, including sleep centers, infusion centers, home health agencies, dentists, independent NPs or PAs, as well as consulting firms, non-profits and associations.

Fact: We have a broad range of carriers and the experience to help you choose the best one for you.
As the years go by, we have added more companies to serve our clients. We have direct access to 12 carriers with various products available, and relationships with other agencies to access more companies and products when needed.
